What happens if something is not right after completion?

Snagging is completed before we invoice, and our workmanship is something we stand behind — if something we built is not right, Lewis comes back and puts it right.

How do payments work?

Payments are staged against agreed milestones set out in your quotation, so you always know what has been completed before each payment falls due.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Saturday and Sunday closed. Enquiries submitted at the weekend are answered on the next working day.

A standard wall removal with single steel beam typically takes 5–10 days from prop-up to making-good. Chimney breast removals 5–7 days per breast. Larger structural openings 2–3 weeks. Underpinning 4–8 weeks depending on number of bays.

Do I need Building Regulations approval?

Yes — for any load-bearing alteration, chimney breast removal or structural opening. We submit the application, supply engineer's calcs, and arrange all required inspections. The Completion Certificate is issued on sign-off.

Will the work crack the rooms above?

Properly executed, no. We use correctly sized temporary props, install the steel before any final break-out, and use slow-set non-shrink grout to ensure full bearing. Hairline cracks in adjacent decoration can occur from vibration but are typically cosmetic.
